Our Treatment

Traditional Chinese Medicine treats the entire body, not just the symptoms.  Thus, your practitioner will take time at the beginning of every session to talk about your overall well being. 
During treatment, most patients experience a state of deep relaxation and some may even fall asleep.   You will leave with a renewed sense of energy and well being.

Safe and Painless

Needles used in acupuncture are very thin, 8-10 times thinner than hypodermic needles used for injections.  Because of this, they are barely felt when inserted.  All needles used at Fidalgo Island Acupuncture are individually packaged, made from sterile stainless steel, and are disposed of after one use.

Number of Visits

Treatment plans are unique to every individual.   The length of treatment depends upon many factors including the nature and severity as well as duration of the problem.  The primary focus of TCM is to correct the underlying causes of imbalance and thus produce lasting relief.  While some conditions may respond immediately, others may take more time.

Side Effects

One of the advantages of TCM is the absence of serious side effects.  Risk of infection is extremely low and because the needles are so fine, they rarely cause bleeding.
